Do I Have An Obstruction?
Something To Consider . . .
There are several different ways to think about your health, but most people tend to define “good health” in a very simple way: “If I feel good, I must be healthy.” If nothing hurts, you are sleeping reasonably well, you have enough energy to get through the day, and nothing seems particularly wrong, it is easy to assume that your body is functioning exactly as it should.
We go about our business until something interrupts that sense of normalcy. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, you wake up one morning with a migraine. You notice numbness or tingling in your hands or feet. You discover a lump, experience unexplained pain, become unusually fatigued, or notice some other change that wasn't there yesterday—or at least wasn't noticeable to you. Suddenly, your definition of “healthy” changes.
Could a child’s ear infection be caused by an Obstruction?
Could a digestive issue, illness, or disease be caused by an Obstruction?
Could a migraine be caused by an Obstruction?
Could a person’s neck or back pain be due to an Obstruction?
Not every health concern is caused by a neurological Obstruction, and no single explanation can account for every symptom or health condition. That said, the underlying cause of many health-related issues is an Obstruction that disrupts the nervous system’s ability to communicate effectively and regulate the body.
An Obstruction does not necessarily cause one specific symptom. Depending on how the nervous system is affected, it may contribute to a variety of symptoms that can differ from person to person. At times, these symptoms may seem unrelated, but they often share an underlying neurological connection.
This website features a list of Doctors of Chiropractic who focus on detecting and correcting Obstructions.
You make an appointment with your family physician, visit an urgent-care clinic, or end up in the emergency room. That's when an important distinction becomes clear: The absence of symptoms is not necessarily the same as good health.
Your body can change long before you experience a symptom significant enough to get your attention. In fact, many health conditions develop gradually and remain relatively silent until they reach a point you can no longer ignore. The symptom may be the first thing you notice, but it’s not necessarily the beginning of the problem.
Perhaps a better way to think about health isn’t simply, “Do I have symptoms?” but rather, “How well is my body functioning, adapting, and maintaining itself?” This is WHY it makes sense to get checked for Obstructions.
